This a website about photography and photographic optics. Its main purpose is to identify lens imperfections and otherwise explain optical phenomena observed in photographic images. I am not professionally involved in photography, optics or web design; this website is just a hobby project with new material appearing at an irregular and slow rate. In daily life I work as an underwater acoustician.
Onion rings and dust on the bokeh page.
The text-editor creation toothwalker.org was tested with recent versions of Firefox, Opera, Safari, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer. The content looks remarkably similar between these browsers. Dated browsers with poor CSS support will not display the pages as they are intended, but hopefully the content is still legible. There is no adware, spyware, cookies, or anything harmful in any way, and the site is fully functional even with JavaScript disabled.
Remarks or questions can be addressed to the e-mail address mentioned below. Perhaps your question is already answered by the faq. The probability of your e-mail being read increases if you choose a clear subject. "Hi!", "Hello!" or "Thanks!", for example, are poor choices as spam and manual filters are uncompromising.
